Blowing Out the Candle

The moment before Harper blew out Margo's candle and all hell broke loose. Margo was not impressed.

After we re-lit the candle and Margo is still unsure about how she feels.

Keep It Simple: Goodie Bags

Cupcakes According to My Fake Polaroids

Margo asked for cupcakes for her party. She and Harper helped me frost them and they turned out great.

Collaboration

I don't remember how it started but something gave Marc the idea that someone should make Valentine cards with facts and an "I love you" message added on at the end. Harper got right to work making these.

Margo joined in.

Behind the Scenes: Restaurateurs

Boots

Kids needed new shoes so we went out on Friday after school to look around. We found some and we found these boots in the sale aisle. Margo and Harper have a thing for high heels. Margo especially loves to wear them around the house. When we saw the $5 price tag on the boots I said we could get them for dress-up. Margo hasn't taken them off since we brought them home. Except twice when Margo convinced Harper to give her some of her candy before she would let Harper wear them.

Margo is not posing for these pictures.

Piano

H&M are taking piano lessons this year. Thanks to Erin and Mark and family for giving us their old piano. Thanks to the Prius for hauling it all the way from Utah to Minnesota. Thanks to Marc for his mighty packing skills. Thanks to Hilary for teaching Harper and Margo how to play.

Happy Valentine's Day

Heart Attack

On the eve of Valentine's Day, Marc and I stayed up way past our bedtime cutting out paper hearts to give H&M a heart attack.

Valentines by Margo

Margo made these all by herself. I said I would help her but she couldn't wait. She woke up early one morning and got to work, then woke me up to tell me they were finished. I always want to make Valentines with Harper and Margo but then get impatient when they aren't turning out how I thought they should. I think Margo unwittingly saved us both from a disaster this year.

Valentines by Mer Mag for the Win for the Third Time

I loved these Valentines from Mer Mag the first time I saw them and now that I work in an elementary school and need Valentines every year they are coming in handy. Since I work in a different classroom every year I plan to use the same Valentines every year.
